The Reframe Collective grew out of an innate desire to re.vision the ways we learn, teach and interact with our community. We are actively practicing another way, by building strong, sustainable communities shaped by gratitude and respect. We are committed to shifting culture by resourcing a new generation with ethical tools for creative problem-solving and reimagining community care.

This is a futurist communal space carefully designed to facilitate a post-capitalist, abolitionist reality — one in which we don’t exchange our time and hard work for our basic needs, but rather are collectively cared for and allowed and encouraged to share our gifts freely.

Through customized gatherings & celebrations, hands-on building and making, and imaginative creative play, we serve an intergenerational network of dreamers and doers. We believe that we have all the raw materials we need to create the future we desire.

The Reframe Collective is our family philosophy of
Reimagining, Repurposing, and Recreating our world.

We value: radical inclusion, community care, co-creation,
intergenerational wisdom, children’s rights, justice, creativity, imagination,
life-long learning, interdependence, variety, evolution, & revolution.

About us:

Caitlin Pearl O’Quinn (they/them) is a certified Health, Drama, and Art Teacher with a deep passion for educating and empowering young people with a creative, thoughtful, and engaging curriculum. With a background in theatre, design, and creative play, Caitlin guides young people to re.imagine worlds and gain confidence in their capacity to communicate and collaborate in the community. Caitlin taught in the Portland Public school district from 2009-2021 and received their Master's in Teaching from Pacific University. Caitlin is certified to teach pre-K through eighth grade in all subjects and is specifically endorsed in art, theater, and health.

Caitlin is a queer, white mama & partner, descending from a creative clowning family, who feels most at home immersed in the Salish Sea. A life-long learner, Caitlin is a student of the both/and. They are a culture changer, custom maker, and paradigm shifter — just as happy digging for treasures at the Goodwill bins, leading a young cast through an original play, and hosting magical creative gatherings at their backyard maker space. Caitlin believes that creative collaborative communities are one of the most powerful ways to inspire personal evolution and collective revolution.

blue O’Connor (they//them//other) is a hands-on educator, builder, maker, and tinkerer who loves to help young people learn to use their hands, tools, and their mechanical advantages. blue grew up as the oldest of nine siblings in a home that was a safe place for foster kids who needed to be removed from traumatic situations. This upbringing shaped blue’s worldview, solidified their values from an early age, and informs the way they work with children today. blue is passionate about teaching young ones simple machines and how to approach the world with a curious mind and capable hands. They especially love to learn alongside all our littles at the Re.Imaginaries Pre.School!
